Angie: I once took a cooking class from Lorenza di Medici in Italy. My dad was always fascinated by Leonardo di Vinci and his Medici patrons and there I was in the Medici home. It was one of those “Oh my god—I can’t believe I’m really here” experiences. But mostly life is simpler than that—reading, hanging with friends, or playing with my dogs. Home is what’s really important to me and home is Angelina’s.
Elizabeth: I fell in love with dessert before I fell for any man. So when the law firm didn’t work out, I found my calling in food. Now I spend my time planning menus, traveling, tasting wines, running, and eating (and not necessarily in that order!) Being at Angelina’s reminds me of what’s good in the world—like a glass of fine champagne or summer meals al fresco with my grandmother.
Andrew: It’s all about the food. When I’m not making delicious food, I’m thinking about making delicious food. I like to travel and spent some memorable years in Hawaii, but I fell in love with San Francisco—and the food. I feel at home at Angelina’s and that means I can focus on making good food. And that makes me happy.
Tony: To me, happiness is love. I love my big family, I love my partner, Ron, I love to cook, and I love Angelina’s because I love Angie. It doesn’t get any better than that.
